Hardline - Double Eclipse [1991]
Monday, January 1, 2007
Hardline was formed when Johnny and Joey Gioeli, originally from the band Brunette, teamed up with Journey guitarist Neal Schon. Originally Neal was going to produce Hardline, but he was having so much fun that he decided to join the band!
They added established musicians Todd Jensen and Deen Castronovo to the mix and the result was magnificent.
This album is a masterpiece, plain and simple. While grunge was taking over the world, this album was lost in the shuffle. What a shame, as this probably would have been huge if released in 1988-1989.“Double Eclipse” cd it’s a great colection of straight Melodic Hard Rock and it’s better than many similar products by other bands due to the quality of the songs and also the attitude. At the end Hardline's “Double Eclipse” is one of the best albums of the decade. It is an untapped gem amongst the scores of albums on the market today.
